![]() ![]() I’ve been going to Deep Creek Lake with a large group of friends for the past 3 years, and this was my second time at the aquatic center. The staff was polite through the whole thing. Overall, we made due with the boat and had a good time. ![]() There also was a broken piece on the ladder which had the potential to easily cut someone's hand while entering the boat. I will comment the awning was torn and we had to rig up to prevent it from tearing further. The correct boat came back shortly and we were on our way. They offered me and extra 3 days free for the water tube which I was satisfied with. I expressed they were wasting the boating time of 6 people and that is worth something. Originally they apologized and told me it would be "soon". We waited over an hour before I went inside to complain. They told us it should be about 10-15 min. The bot we were to change to had already left. We were nice about it and drove right over there to make the switch. They called us about an hour later and told us to come back and switch it with the correct one. Unfortunately, they sent us out with the wrong boat. There was a little wait to pick it up which is to be expected. No clue how or why these people are in business with such awful boats and customer service (or lack of customer service) Additionally! The gas station said "oh you don't have a gas cap" when we pulled up for any question on whether we lost it or not :) Inspect your boat thoroughly before renting to prevent this happening to you. We tried to argue but they literally will not (1) listen to you nor (2) give you the time of day. They also charged us $35 for a lost gas cap that was not there to begin with. And the best part? We had a two day rental so after notifying them about the piece falling apart, they gave us the same boat the next day with one screw in it. Absolutely 0 care is given to the boat or the safety of its passengers. We lost a piece of the boat that was poorly screwed on while we were driving it which was extremely dangerously. The boats are quite literally falling apart. There was nothing we could do about a piece of trim that was screwed on by the company by a few rusty screws :) *Update******** the boat was falling apart when it was rented to us. ![]()
